2018
Janette and Rio first met while working in Central Java, in the city of Tegal, at a beautiful and simple church. At that time, they were both busy building their lives, they were just beginning their careers, chasing dreams and shaping their own paths and unaware that God was already weaving a greater plan, and that they had just met their forever love.
2025
For seven years, there was no meaningful conversation between them. Yet, from time to time, Rio would quietly keep in touch, checking in on Janette and asking how Janette was doing, while Janette replied briefly. They were truly walking separate paths. Then, in an extraordinary way, God opened a door in mid 2025. Rio returned with a different presence, bringing warmth, sincerity, and steadfast persistence. He was always there, consistently trying, patiently showing through his actions that this time was different. By the end of the year, it felt as though no time had passed at all.
2026
Without wasting another moment, Rio showed his love by traveling all the way to Balikpapan, East Kalimantan, to meet Janette and her family. That step spoke louder than words. In that moment, Janette knew deep in her heart, that this was the man God had been preparing for her all along. God’s plans unfold in the most beautiful and unexpected ways, and everything suddenly felt right. Day by day, Rio was amazed and deeply touched by the way Janette cared for him, her kindness, her laughter, her patience, and the way she truly understood him. Everything about her felt like home.
Their connection flowed naturally, as if their hearts had always known. They found the one in each other, and from that day forward, their lives have been filled with love, laughter, and shared joy. Now, they are stepping forward hand in hand, preparing for the beginning of a lifetime together.
Thank you, Lord.
Now, here we are, writing the next chapter of our love story. And we can’t wait to celebrate it with you.
