OUR STORY
Our story began in 2014, in the hall of SMA Negeri 9 Binsus Manado during the new students’ orientation. Viola remembers Eldio as the quiet boy sitting beside her, wearing white-framed glasses and writing in remarkably neat handwriting. Eldio remembers Viola as a beautiful fair-skinned girl who was never afraid to raise her hand and ask questions. Three days later, fate brought us together again. Not only as classmates in the Acceleration class, but also as desk partners determined by a simple lottery. From that humble seat, everything began and carried through many phases of life-moments of closeness and distance.
Our friendship, doubts and certainties passed across different eras of communication. From SMS, BBM, Path, Ask.fm, Twitter, LINE, to FaceTime and WhatsApp, now even WeChat. On November 22, 2021, we finally chose to walk this journey together. In January 2023, before distance tested us when Viola continued her studies abroad, Eldio came to Viola’s family to express his sincere intentions. We strongly believe that after overcoming this season of long distance, we would emerge even stronger. With the blessing of our families, Eldio proposed to Viola on October 20, 2024 with a pair of family heirloom rings. A year later, on September 6, 2025, he returned with his family to formally deepen that commitment through the Maso Minta tradition.
Time flies so fast and now we find ourselves counting down the days to begin a new life chapter as husband and wife. From seatmates to soulmates, our story will just begin.
