OUR STORY

Hans and Carolina were first introduced by Hans’ childhood friend, who also happened to be Carolina’s college best friend. Though separated by distance and the pandemic, they quickly grew close through chats and video calls. Over time, their bond deepened, and on Chinese New Year, February 12, 2022, Hans confessed his feelings. They officially became a couple—starting their journey with a long-distance relationship.

Their first in-person meeting was on Carolina’s birthday when Hans visited Bandung. After months apart, they finally spent three meaningful days together—filled with heartfelt conversations and quiet moments that felt like home. That meeting became a turning point in their relationship.

After completing their college journey and finishing their theses, they pursued the same goal—to land jobs at one of the Big 4 accounting firms. Through intense preparation and mutual support, they both succeeded. The working world brought challenges, but they faced them hand in hand, growing stronger with every hurdle.

Despite busy careers, they never forgot to nurture their bond. Their trip to Bali became one of their sweetest memories, followed by a family trip to Europe that brought them even closer. While in Munich, Germany, they had an impromptu prewedding photo session at the beautiful Nymphenburg Palace—captured by a relative, whose photography hobby gifted them timeless moments.

After three years of saving and dreaming together, they finally built something close to their hearts—Scentories. Carolina, with her deep passion for fragrances, envisioned a brand where each scent tells a story. Hans supported her wholeheartedly, believing their love was a story worth bottling. Now, they’re not only business partners but are also preparing to become lifelong partners in love and in life.
